If you have been waiting for Tool to go on tour again, or put out a new record, then your wishes might actually come true soon. Maynard James Keenan has recently just announced tour dates both for Tool and Puscifer. Tool is actually trying to put in some studio time and finally record new material. As you probably know or remember, their last effort 10,000 Days came out all the way back in 2006. They are still selling out tickets almost immediately after going on sale. Tickets first appeared online at TicketMaster’s website before vanishing then finally reappearing again. They last toured briefly in 2010.  Puscifer will be touring in support of their latest effort, Conditions Of My Parole.

Providing opening support for this tour will be two different bands, Intronaut and YOB.  Intronaut are California prog rockers, while YOB is a doom metal trio hailing from Eugene, OR. Intronaut have supported Mastodon, Helmet, and Animals As Leaders before.  According to an interview with Lambgoat, they will be working on creating a new record immediately following the tour with Tool.  YOB have played with Botch before, as well as Tool. YOB will continue their own headlining tour afterwards.
