Without doubt, the festival scene is alive and well. As you probably are well aware by now, Coachella actually scheduled the exact same line up for 2 weekends this year, and still sold both events out in record time. Not only are there large fests though, there are several dozen smaller fests. Since 2009, 35 Denton in Denton, TX has been growing. The first year had 124 bands and over 4,000 fans. Past artists have included The Flaming Lips, Big Boi, Neon Indian, Portugal. The Man, Health, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Dr. Dog, Sarah Jaffe, The Walkmen, and The Black Angels. This year, once again, they have a great line-up planned the week before SXSW:
