Back in the day, when this place was crawling with forums and chats about random acts of music, we used to poll ourselves to see which release by an artist not only set them atop of the industry but stapled them in as musical gods.
Few bands are still around today from the 90′s. And even fewer, if any, have put out as many records or have had as much of an impact than Nine Inch Nails. As you probably already know, NIN has been sorta taking a break. Trent Reznor said in early 2009 “”I’ve been thinking for some time now it’s time to make NIN disappear for a while.” Later, he additionally later said “isn’t done creating music under the moniker, but that Nine Inch Nails is done touring for the foreseeable future.” Even more recently, in an interview with BBC Radio 1, Reznor has indicated that in 2012, he will be writing for the majority of the year with Nine Inch Nails “in mind”. He stated, “I plan on spending a good portion of this coming year writing with that in mind. And we’ll see what happens with it.”

Always been a sucker for The Fragile. A bold project that totally engrossed me beginning to end.
Should have been Pretty Hate Machine. The shit Trent went through with that album was impressive. But ultimately I have fonder memories of The Downward Spiral.
No way. Broken may be an EP, but it’s relentless. There’s no a soft moment on it.
Yikes hardest one yet… Broken and Fixed nearly belong together, if that was the case I’d vote for ‘em, PHM was sincerely a classic and had you asked me five years ago, would have voted for it. Downward Spiral was the album I burned out most, but the radio has damn near killed its effectiveness… The Fragile was fantastic, but also spelled the end of the road for me as far listening to NIN…. honestly, gotta go with Fixed, it had the most teeth and bang for its buck, regardless of the short length.
I gotta go with Downward Spiral, it was the first to draw my attention, and has also held it the longest.
When Pretty hate machine came out, I was hooked. Not a bad song on that album.
I saw that “With Teeth” and “Year Zero” have not received a vote. Those are two of NIN’s best albums in my opinion. Most people haven’t heard of them. I definately recommend With Teeth, I had a hard time voting on this one.
