You can see our coverage of the first day here.
So usually when covering live shows and writing reviews, you try to best match your experience with the others in attendance. Then it is a really good thing that we are growing and have multiple other people to help us now. Every show that we wanted to attend on Friday night, the 2nd of the fest, was over capacity by the time we arrived. This happened even with our back up plan B shows. Lucky for us special guest correspondent Katie Covens was there and able to get into one of the headlining shows, The Hood Internet. Unfortunately we missed Ft. Worth’s soon to be break out sex wave band Burning Hotels, Brooklyn’s sultry Class Actress, and the instrumental duo El Ten Eleven. Here is her account of The Hood Internet:

“The night began later than originally intended, due to the unforeseen lines. Atrociously long lines, which in some cases, ran out the door, around the corner, and down the block. For a short while, maybe an hour or two, almost every venue had a wait.
Hailey’s was expected to fill up quickly. However, a lot of folks were surprised to find the club had already met its capacity by 11:00pm. Many of those waiting in line at Hailey’s were hoping to make it inside for Class Actress. Unfortunately, the policy was one person in, for every person who came out. Therefore it was nearly impossible to make it inside quickly enough to catch the penultimate set.

Those, who patiently waited in line, until 12:30am, were graciously rewarded. The final set performed by The Hood Internet was definitely worth the long wait in line.”
