We told you last August about Coheed & Cambria‘s bass player Michael Todd departing the band. Unfortunately this was the result of a mutual decision between him and the group. This stems from his arrest for armed robbery of a pharmacy at the beginning of July. According to music news site The PRP, the former bassist was sentenced Monday to a year of home confinement using GPS monitoring, after pleading guilty. He will also have to serve three years probation. Additionally, Todd must keep up drug treatment and could be subjected to random drug testing.
As you may recall, on July 10th, 2011, before opening up for Soundgarden in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Michael went into a local Walgreens. He was claiming he had a bomb, then left by taxi with six bottles of Oxycodone. He was then arrested and released on bail.
