Up this week is the new official music video from Radioinactive‘s “Bury Me Standing”. It’s the B-side off the first single of his 4th studio album The Akashic Record, and is directed by Owen A. Smith. That same record is #11 on the CMJ Hip Hop Charts this week.
The LA emcee dons yet another of Quincy Jones’ old suits in it. Radio was part of Log Cabin, the ’90s crew that included a young Murs and Eligh. Rolling Stone and URB co-signed him soon after he rapped as a goat on “Farmer’s Market Of The Beast” from producer Omid’s 1998 compilation Beneath The Surface, also featuring Dilated Peoples and Freestyle Fellowship. He dropped the solo albums Pyramidi, Free Kamal and Soundtrack To A Book. He collaborated with his crew Shape Shifters on Shape Shifters Was Here, and Daedelus and Busdriver on The Weather, and recently returned from three months traveling the Sahara Desert with a band of Tuaregs.
We will feature an upcoming interview with him soon, stay tuned.
