Porter Robinson just released his very first music video this week. This 19-year-old talent started his EDM career at age 13 by imitating sounds he heard in video games on a Sony music editing program. He has now upgrades his software and is on to producing suspense building, bass pumping dubstep tracks that the EDM crowd is eating up! His career has shown continued growth by providing solid tour support to Tiësto and Skrillex and making appearances at EDC and Electric Zoo. He was quickly signed to Skrillex’s label OWLSA in the summer of 2011 and released his first EP “Spitfire”. It crashed Beatport’s servers upon release, smashed its way to the #1 position and held it for 2 weeks solid. He will be performing at Lollapalooza this weekend.
Since releasing his own album, he has collaborated with many artists and reached a mainstream audience by producing the official remix of Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory”. He now has one headlining tour under his belt and is just finishing up his second headlining tour “The Language Tour” this summer of 2012 with Mat Zo and M Machine. He is scheduled to play Lollapaloolza, Identify Fest and many other music festivals to close out a phenomenal year in music. This up and coming artist has been touted by his peers like Skrillex and Deadmau5 as one of the nu-breed saviours of electronic music. By his achievements so far, he is painting the picture of a super bright future full of lights, sounds and dubstep!
This song “Language” is released in the UK on 12th August on Ministry of Sound Recordings. The video director is Jonathan Desbiens.
