The Games of the XXX Olympiad, AKA London 2012, are wrapping up on Sunday, August 12th. They’ve been incredibly entertaining to watch, but what I’m really looking forward to is the closing ceremony. Rumours have been flying for months as to which British music acts will make appearances. I’ve heard everyone from Pink Floyd and The Who (complete with Keith Moon hologram) to One Direction to…wait for it…another Spice Girls reunion. I’d like everyone to head over to Facebook.com/ROCKthusiast and add your two cents as to who you think the organizers will surprise us with. While you’re there, how about we have some fun and vote on which country would win gold, silver and bronze if there was an Olympic event for rock and roll! (I personally think Canada would have as a good a shot as any!)
