The boys are back in town! New York’s Coheed and Cambria are preparing to release a new record and start touring again soon. And this week they dropped a new music video from the new project. “Domino The Destitute” is an eight minute short film set in a boxing ring match. Directed by Robert Schober, he was also worked with both Metallica and The Killers on other music videos. The sixth studio album for the band will be released as two separate full-length volumes. The first volume, The Afterman: Ascension, will be available October 8, 2012, while the second volume, The Afterman: Descension is slated for release in February 2013.

Leading up to this will be a scattering of intimate U.S. club shows, with a UK tour in November of this year following this weekend’s stunning Main Stage performances at Reading and Leeds Festivals. The last time we heard from the band was earlier this summer, when former bass player Michael Todd was sentenced to a year of home confinement using GPS monitoring, after pleading guilty  of armed robbery of a pharmacy.
