This summer, Vitaminwater partnered with The FADER to bring you ”Uncapped“, a nationwide concert series dedicated to bringing the best artists working in hip-hop, electronic and indie rock and combining them in an unprecedented series of shows.
The final concert of the series took place in New York City at the magnificent Angel Orensanz Foundation with the unexpected pairing of Bon Iver and Frank Ocean Monday night. Frank Ocean started the concert with his soulful performance followed by a powerful yet intimate performance by Bon Iver and a nine member band. The exquisite location, ambient lighting and sounds of Bon Iver had fans asking for more and singing long after the set was over. The cast of 666 Park Ave, Jay Sean, Alexa Chung and several NY Giants joined hundreds of fans at this special performance.
According the The Fader, Bon Iver was the only artist to have earned himself an encore out of their entire, widely-acclaimed Vitaminwater “Uncapped” 2012 season. For those who were unable to make it out, not to worry. Here’s a peak at the encore performance of Bon Iver that happened last night:
