The up and coming 5 member band from North Carolina, Another Lost Year have been working their way up the charts with “War on the Inside,” a song that explains what is going on with us and our inner thoughts and overcoming the struggles that we face on a day to day basis.
Another lost year recently released their new album Better Days which was released on September 11th and is an album that offers a comforting and relatable sound that one can confide in. The Lead singer and creator of the band, Clinton Cunanan, stated in a previous interview that
this particular album is meant for those that can relate to the situation going on in the song, and you can hear it and see how someone else has conquered after going through the same scenario. It shows that after the storm is the calm, and there will always be a “Better Day.”
Inspiration for the new album came from Clinton’s life experiences as he battled a war on the inside himself after losing his mother about 2 and a half years ago. He was in a lower point in life and decided to turn that life experience into a song and make a positive from it. Each song comes from a different walk of Clinton’s life, and has a song almost anyone could relate too.
For those who do not know about the Band, they have been together for almost a year and a half. They are from Charlotte, North Carolina, and originally was only a solo project for lead singer and band creator Clinton Culanan. He met up with a group of guys who were originally there to help him branch out, but then they ended up coming together to form the band.
Another Lost Year has been on the top charts for Sirius Radio, and was also voted Best Rock Band in the Carolina for 2011. They have toured and opened up for countless big name artists, and have even worked with the Grammy performing group “Almost Kings.”
