Hip hop punk rockers Death Grips are having their way with 2012. Having already released their recordThe Money Store this year, the Sacramento crew recently made news by first announcing new tour dates, then promptly canceled them all. They have been working on yet another new album due out this year…or so we thought!

On Sunday, according to Tiny Mix Tapes, a YouTube user discovered a hidden track “True Vulture Bare” from Death Grip’s new, upcoming album. Then the Death Grips twitter account began dropping clues about 10/1 and the hash tag #NOLOVEDEEPWEB. So the story across the world wide interwebz today is that their record label Epic wanted to wait until next year (2013) before releasing the new record, which is already completed. Unhappy with the decision, or to drum up some publicity, or both, the band leaked the entire new project online: free. Now this story really starts to get interesting–the band’s website is no longer working! If you try visiting their official site Third Worlds.net, you won’t be able to! The group says their label Epic is to blame. You can still check out the new work No Love Deep Web, thanks to Soundcloud. Oh yeah, another detail of this story: the cover art contains a penis. Just though you should know.

Update (October 2, 2012): The website is back up, you can now see the penis with writing on it for yourself.
