As shown in the video trailer up above, Clarence Greenwood, aka Citizen Cope is bringing a show to your area. The concert last Wednesday was at Strauss Square in Dallas, TX was just the right size to create an intimacy with the band for everyone in attendance.
Initially the crowd stayed in their seats listening to Citizen Cope`s smooth flowing rhythmical sound. Four to 5 songs later, the crowd had worked its way up close enough to see any visible imperfection, but most were disappointed as there simple wasn’t one to be found.
Jessica, a newer fan of CC says: “I find his sound slow, but poetic like. The crowd appeared to be early 80`s generation of young adults. Just on the cusp of being able to really appreciate the soulful music, not only for its harmony and sound but the artist`s trance like voice, bringing back heart to real music with use of emotion based lyricism.
Coupling an acoustic brand with vivid lighting, though our interview request didn’t make it through, we’re still convinced Citizen Cope is certainly worth the price of admission.
