Music Emissions Minute: Dave Grohl’s Sound City Coming to Theatres

So much for Dave Grohl staying quiet in 2013. If you hadn’t heard, the Foo Fighters frontman put his full-time band on ice for a bit to concentrate on his latest project, a rockumentary he’s directed entitled Sound City. If you can’t get out to Utah to see its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, don’t worry; it’s going to be screening at 44 North American movie theatres on January 31st, including the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto. SoundCityMovie.com has the full list of where and when it will be showing, as well as links to preorder downloads of the film…and its highly anticipated soundtrack. I can’t help you though when it comes to the star-studded concert Grohl has organized after the premiere featuring the aptly-named “Sound City Players.” That’s just going to be awesome!
