If you were a hip-hop head in the 90′s, chances are you know the music of the Hieroglyphics (who are comprised of the ’93 Til Infinity’s Souls of Mischief, The Hierophant Casual, Domino, Pep Love, Mistadobalina’s Del the Funkee Homosapien and DJ Toure as producer and DJ) quite well. Although still an integral producing part of the Hiero crew who’s shared stages with the likes of Talib Kweli, Common, Nas, Mos Def and The Wu Tang Clan, DJ Toure has also made a name for himself producing tracks for Bay Area artists E-40, Too $hort, Dolla Will and Goapele as well as touring with Kelly Rowland recently. Last week I was hyped to connect with this Bay Area music fixture.
