Chad Valley, aka Hugo Manuel of Oxford, UK’s Jonquil has announced a spring headlining tour behind his acclaimed full-length debut, Young Hunger, featuring collaborations with Twin Shadow, Glasser, El Perro Del Mar, Active Child and more, available now on Cascine. In anticipation of his upcoming tour, he recently released a video for the single ‘I Owe You This (feat. Twin Shadow)’ which premiered on Pitchfork TV and includes remixes from Jacques Renault (XLR8R) and Tomas Barfod (The Fader).

His track ‘Shell Suite’ is also featured in the new film Warm Bodies, which recently went #1 at the box office. Its accompanying video has received over 134K views on YouTube and counting.

Young Hunger represents the first time Chad Valley used a professional studio, and worked with a producer. The album is a personal record at heart and Manuel admits that his lyrics and vocals on earlier Chad Valley releases were mostly guided by sound and feel rather than meaning. He put the finishing touches on Young Hunger between tours in the UK with Friendly Fires and SBTRKT, performances in Asia, and a string of remixes for Foals, The Drums and Lana Del Rey, and this will be his second North American tour, after a run of nationwide dates through SXSW with Active Child and Com Truise.
