Do you know the feeling of rushing home from a concert or music festival, and quickly trying to look up live video from the show? That’s how we feel about SXSW. One of the most important parts of a successful SXSW experience isn’t just attending everything (impossible), but knowing how to find coverage of what you missed. We were in Austin ourselves, and were able to catch 24 shows by 22 bands in 4 days. We couldn’t be everywhere though, but we know how to use the interwebs. So for those of you who were lucky enough to be there, and for the large majority of more who weren’t, here is a very exciting video clip.
This one comes to us via NPR Music and features Haim. We first discovered them early in 2012, and the sister act from Los Angeles took home the BBC’s Sound of 2013 award earlier this year. They have only released an EP so far, their debut album should arrive later this year. Their band’s name rhymes with the word time. One of the most buzzed about new artists, here they are performing “Falling” at Filter Magazine’s SXSW Showdown.
