With a lethal lady-slaying combo of bad boy charm and sensitive songwriting chops, American Idol (AI) alum Chris Richardson stands ready to enter a new chapter of his life, releasing his debut album soon on Lil Wayne and Birdman affiliated Cash Money Records. For those that watched AI, Chris sang on that famous stage on Season Six alongside Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis, writing for both of their albums soon after. Leveraging this launching platform since 2007, this Virginia native’s released an EP, stayed busy with this songwriting, shared stages with “Geek in the Pink’s” Jason Mraz and collaborated with his labelmate, Tyga, on singles “Joy and Pain” and “Far Away”. Drawing frequent comparisons to blue-eyed soul men Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke, Chris appears focused and poised to take his career to the next level.
I spoke with Chris recently about what he’s been up to, his American Idol experience, his VERY candid Instagram pics and much more. Peep our interview clips and his videos below! Follow Chris on Twitter and like him on Facebook for more deets on his new full-length album!
