Music Emissions Old Ideas Poetry Contest
To celebrate “Old Ideas”, the first new Leonard Cohen record in a decade, Music Emissions is sponsoring its first Poetry Contest. “Old Ideas” (stream track four “Darkness”) shows not only the continued power of Leonard Cohen’s poetic vision, but also insists this man continues living as long as he keeps on writing. A Canadian legend whose poems and songs have inspired romantics and misanthropes for over forty years, Cohen wants to hear our own word-fest. You may not be 70-plus like the living legend Leonard Cohen, but if you are a poet and from Canada (eligible to Canadians only), why not consider sharing some of your vision with the legend and our readers?

Here’s the deal:

-Send up to three short poems (a page each) to info@musicemissions.com
-Winners* will be chosen by Music Emissions staff.

• First prize winner(s) receives vinyl and cd copies of Leonard Cohen’s new release “Old Ideas”.
• One runner-up will receive a CD copy of the release.
