Recently getting to chat with The Souls of Mischief, a crucial component to the prolific and historic Hieroglyphics crew, I followed up this amazing experience up by peeping their LA stop on their 50 city 93 Til’ Infinity 20th Anniversary tour on Friday. Hearing during our interview that so far on the tour, they’d noticed the large diverse crowd was very mixed age-wise, ranging from people who were born in 1993 to people who were adults in 1993, that’s exactly what I found when I arrived. Once I saw this, it made me feel proud. It’s rare to find hip-hop music that cuts across generations and squashes the old vs. new divisions, receiving props from men, women, sons and daughters, proving simply that good music endures.

Hitting the stage around 10:30 PM, SOM broke out classics like “Never No More”, “Tell Me Who Profits”, “Batting Practice”, “Tour Stories”, ending of course, “93 Til Infinity”. The contrasting and complementary styles of Opio, Tajai, A-Plus and Phesto were on display and the true authentic brotherhood felt onstage. Giving props to each other and the audience for coming out, it’s no accident this group’s been together for 20+ plus years. If you didn’t catch them this summer, you missed out but Oregon, Vancouver and Washington, you can still peep them as they’re wrapping up the tour this week! Visit the Still Infinity site for more ticket info!

Plus, get tickets to peep Casual , another member of the Hiero crew on his “Clash of the Titans” tour as well!
