Currently touring with Fair To Midland and KYNG, 10 Years has been out supporting the release of their upcoming album Minus The Machine which is set to release on August 7th on their own album label, Pale Horse Records; this will be the band’s first album release under their self-made label.  We got the chance to see them perform along with KYNG at Trees on June 29th in Dallas, TX and got a look into the new album when front man Jesse Hasek announced that they would play “Dancing With The Dead”.  We also heard other hits like “Fix Me”, “Chasing The Rapture”, and “Now Is The Time (Ravenous)” which we have some footage of below.  Having missed hearing the band play at this year’s Rocklahoma (see our review here) festival makes me regret that I did; given the small stage at Trees, this band is more destined for festival stages as they perform like true rock stars.

Since the album is still a whole month away, we decided to do the digging and find you some of the album’s new material.  We have the single, “Backlash”, which is available on iTunes and Spotify along with the newly released music video for “Knives” that was posted on July 2nd.  Enjoy!

Minus The Machine track list:

  1. Minus The Machine
  2. Battle Lust
  3. Forever Fields (Sowing Season)
  4. Backlash
  5. Writing On The Walls
  6. Dancing With The Dead
  7. Sleeper
  8. Soma
  9. Tightrope
  10. Knives
  11. Birth — Death
  12. …And All The Colors

On tour with 10 Years, along with a couple of other bands who they will meet up with along their pre-album release tour, is California natives KYNG.  Formed in 2008,  Eddie and his trio have been touring and promoting their 2011 album release Trampled Sun and starting to emerge in the heavy metal genre; opening for bands like 10 Years, Pop Evil, & Black Stone Cherry in numerous cities around the U.S.  We had the opportunity to see Eddie, Tony, & Pepe perform at the World’s Famous Trees in Dallas, TX this past weekend and I have to say, we were very pleased with their performance and sound.  Described as “California heavy” metal, KYNG brings a sound that is both unique and original at the same time; their influences come from bands like Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Foo Fighters, and Queens of the Stone Age.  You can read more about our review of KYNG here.  We have also included some live footage from their Dallas show below.
