Welcome students old and new… every Thursday until the sun blazes the Earth, the staff shall pay homage to the most classic indie albums of all time. No countdowns, or top 100 lists, just a weekly gaze into the Music Emissions vault. Let the education begin…

Sounding A Mosaic

Sounding A Mosaic is the second of three albums from the Canadian rock band Bedouin Soundclash. Released in September of 2004, it was produced by Darryl Jenifer of Bad Brains. Though BSC has yet to take the world by storm as expected, their sound is universal in the sense that nearly any citizen of the earth could enjoy their melodies.

With rhythms that are refreshing, and comparisons that draw from the likes of The Police, Sublime and Bob Marley, Sounding A Mosaic is one of the most under-marketed albums in the history of music. A must for lovers of Rock or Reggae. Here is Music Emissions review of their sophomore effort “Sounding A Mosaic”

For any of you just hearing about Bedouin Soundclash do yourself a favor and seek out Sounding A Mosaic. This is a wonderful album that is one of the best things to come out of Canada. I’m still listening to this one on a regular basis.

Obviously, I couldn’t agree more…but seriously.. if it wasn’t for this website, I would have NEVER known about them, and I feel fortunate to know of this album. If I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life it would be Sounding A Mosaic.
