Jean Grae

Christmas Jams? Yup. The Kwanzaa Song? Of course. A Festivus ditty? How could there not be? Belated Diwali wishes in the form of a song? Why are you even asking anymore questions? Global warming? SHUT UP! Finally have a song to dance to specifically for New Years? GTFOH. Yes, man.

Jean Grae returns with her 3rd holiday album. Very much NSFW, which is great. She hopes you’re not working. She is though. HARD AT WORK BRINGING YOU CHEER. With guests Quelle Chris and Don Will, this album is sure to be one you will NOT be playing at your parent’s house until you’ve had a lot of drinks and just don’t care about anything anymore. Good luck with that.

Just in time for the holidays, G-Eazy has released a new lyric video for “Random”. This is the second video G-Eazy has revealed this week with the animated “Sad Boy” video out yesterday. “Random” has a lo-fi feel like an old VHS tape and comes on the heels of G-Eazy’s heralded sophomore album When It’s Dark Out which debuted and is spending its second week at #1 on Billboard’s R&B / Hip Hop Chart and Top Rap Albums Chart. Check out the new lyric video and don’t miss G-Eazy on the ‘When It’s Dark Out Tour’ with A$AP Ferg starting on January 6th in Portland.

Praised by SPIN, Neon Gold, NYLON, Pigeons and Planes, Paste, FUSE, Billboard, MTV, Idolator, and more, The Guardian reviewed Cardiknox’s recent CMJ show in NY saying, “in the vein of bands like Chvrches and the Naked and Famous…if John Hughes were still making movies, Cardiknox would soundtrack the post-breakup scene where things are finally starting to look up.” The band has toured with Bleachers and Betty Who, performed at Lollapalooza, Firefly and Sasquatch, and just returned from Europe, where they played Reading and Leeds, Rock en Seine, and Pukkelpop.

Sacha Korn

“Feuer” is the newest album from the Neue Deutsche Härte musician Sacha Korn (1975, Berlin). The album comes 2 years after the release of “Funkenflug” and sees Sacha Korn back with even more rage. Musically you can expect heavy guitar riffs mixed with melancholic melodies carrying words of longing, homeland, identity and violence. A perfect soundtrack for a round in the boxing ring or a heavy workout in the gym.

The band recorded the album in Stockholm at Fascination (Jens Bogren) and Berlin.

Lyrically, the album describes the feelings Sacha Korn has gone through after seeing the Europe he knows being under threat by outside and homegrown terror. What’s the correct answer to this all? “Feuer” offers you the opportunity to look for answers together with Sacha Korn. It won’t be an easy quest, but it’s one you’ll need to undergo in order to understand the reality and your identity.

Amanda Markley

Seattle-based pop singer/songwriter Amanda Markley has just dropped a Christmas treat for her fans with her spirited and soulful mashup of two holiday classics, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “O Come All Ye Faithful,” which can be seen here. For the video, Amanda paired up with friend and fellow musician DJ Brennan to record this fun rendition of the two songs. The video was produced and edited by Brennan. Here is what Amanda had to say about the video:

“I’m so glad I got to meet up with DJ to do this Christmas song. I first met DJ on my “Just The Beginning” tour this summer, and he now lives in the Seattle area. I hope it helps get everyone in the Christmas spirit!”.” – Amanda Markley

Amanda Markley’s songwriting career began after a spinal injury that caused her to pull back from her passion of horseback riding. Amanda learned to cope by writing her emotions, an inspiration for her new passion in music and the lyrics of her first songs. Now able to ride again, Markley strives to inspire and give others courage to follow their own dreams. The singer often plays rich and emotionally raw acoustic sets that are a staple of her home-state’s local coffeehouse vibe. When not performing in an intimate setting, Amanda rocks the stage with a full band and is a regular performer at the Hard Rock Cafe, El Corazon, Chop Suey, and other iconic music houses in the Seattle area, sharing the stage with artists such as Aaron Carter, Tyler Ward, William Beckett, and more. Markley is currently in the studio with Chase Manhattan to collaborate on and produce her upcoming EP at Rainmaker Studios. The first single from the EP, “Jealousy” was released in 2015 in a partnership withCadence & Cause, sending all proceeds of single downloads to the charitable cause of rescuing homeless animals and finding them homes. Manhattan produced a music video for “Jealousy” which premiered exclusively with PopWrapped. The duo recently released a chilling cover of Joy Williams’ track “What A Good Woman Does,” highlighting their time together in the studio. The EP is set to release early 2016 with a slew of new tracks, videos, and more on the way.
