Music journalists get hit with a steady helping of press releases every day. For the music fan without that kind of sensory overload, a lot of music news can pass by without being seen. Every Friday, we will weed through and compile a list of some of the most intriguing press releases to come across our virtual desk.

Inara George

“Slow Dance,” the latest single from Inara George’s upcoming solo album Dearest Everybody, produced by Mike Andrews and out January 19, has been released. A bittersweet reminiscing of her youth, “Slow Dance” showcases an entrancing rhythm and ethereal vocals, its dreamlike quality providing a tangible snapshot of Inara’s free-spirited formative years. PRESS HERE to listen to “Slow Dance” via MXDWN.

“When I turned 42 I had a “Slow Dance” party,” says Inara on the inspiration behind the song. “It was a great party… lots of dancing and carousing. The night reminded me of a certain part of myself from my youth. A part that isn’t really as available to me, nor is something that I long to be anymore. But still, the next day left me with a real sense of nostalgia. Growing older can be painful. I had some metaphorical growing pains. But one of the gifts of getting older is that I know that the end of something always leads to another beginning.”

“Slow Dance” follows on the heels of “Release Me” and “Young Adult” from Dearest Everybody, Inara’s first solo album since the release of Accidental Experimental in 2009. Inara, who is one half of The Bird and The Bee (her collaboration with Grammy-winning producer, singer, and instrumentalist Greg Kurstin) and a member of the Living Sisters, was recently featured on Foo Fighter’s “Dirty Water” and Superfruit’s “Everything,” which she co-wrote for their debut album Future Friends. Over the summer, Inara also performed alongside that dog. at Riotfest and duetted with Shirley Manson and Garbage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Dearest Everybody will be released digitally via Release Me Records, with vinyl available via Slow Down Sounds. PRESS HERE to preorder the vinyl, in which the lacquers were cut by Kevin Gray from the original 96/24 final mix files with plating and pressing at R.T.I. The album has been pressed on the best vinyl compound in the world (HQ-180), and housed in an Old Style Tip On double gatefold jacket from Stoughton Printing.

Walking Papers

Seattle’s Walking Papers, featuring Jefferson Angell (The Missionary Position), Benjamin Anderson (The Missionary Position), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), and Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season) will release WP2, their second album with Loud & Proud Records, tomorrow, January 19, 2018.

Rock ‘N’ Load Magazine said of WP2 in their 10/10-star review, “It may only be January, but WP2 could be one of the albums of the year.” Pure Grain Audio in their recent 8.5/10 Star review, “In 2013, a criminally overlooked debut album by Walking Papers saw its release…Walking Papers was indeed one of the best rock albums of that year…It felt like four multi-talented musicians coming together to craft some beautiful music, and the world was a better place because of that albums’ existence. So, listen up good people, because lightning has indeed struck twice…”

WP2 is the follow up to their 2013 critically acclaimed debut album that Rolling Stone called “…dark, alternately sensual and sinister.” USA Today said, “Sometimes an album sounds nothing like you expect yet still blows you away… It’s powerful yet nuanced, a kind of rock confident enough in itself that it rarely needs force to make its point.” Consequence Of Sound said, “It’s a record that largely eschews typical hard rock fare, opting instead for a blues rock that slinks and wafts as much as it crunches and blusters. This unlikely dynamic makes Walking Papers a pink slip you’ll actually be happy to get.”

Fans of Walking Papers can go to PledgeMusic now to pre-order the album HERE as well as find exclusive offers for merchandise, unique items and experiences with the band, and the only place to purchase the song This Is How It Ends along with its companion comic book by Angell, graphic novelist Matt Hayward, and artist Csaba Master.

Walking Papers will be playing a special album release show in Seattle on January 27 at The Crocodile, more tour dates will be announced soon.

With his works for inter alia, – Colorado, Praa, Maximilien, French artist Timsters shapes a very modern sound. A singular one that is made of different genres mixed together, a synthesis of electronic, urban and pop music. Beyond these eclectic influences, Timsters made a veritable family team in his label – Elephant & Castle, a place where humans are the matrix.

So, no surprise to observe that it’s the main dimension that comes out of his songwriting. Sensitive and personal tracks that he let grow patiently and an environment that permits him to drop all masks. A record like a gradation where shades are in the foreground and where cocoon-like productions welcome obsessive and limpid melodies.

New single ‘Gone’ is rich in retro synth swathes with a slightly melancholic chill-out magical feel that envelopes the listener into a floaty world akin to Empire Of The Sun, Pnau or perhaps Metronomy. The single drops this 12th January, marking the emergence of Timsters into the UK as an artist in his own right to much anticipation.

LA-based singer, and former City of The Sun frontman and founding member, Trubdr. Adam Road today releases his brand new music video “Ain’t No Love”. The video is was co-written produced, and directed by Stephen Wayne Mallet, and Adam himself. The video features Adam being lead by his love interest (Alli Hart) and her other lover (played by American Crime Story’s, Giovanni Cirfiera) to dig what seems to be his own grave.

The blues-y alternative rock track bounces back and forth between heavy guitar driven leads to near acapella sections. The ebb and flow of musical energy creates a rush each time the chorus kicks back in.

This release follows Road’s album Exile From the City, released in Fall 2017. Along with multiple performances, including a Sofar Sounds residency in LA, Trubdr. is gearing up to release loads of new content in the forthcoming months.

“Ain’t No Love” is to play on Netflix’s Jessica Jones and UFC’s Road To The Octogan in their upcoming seasons, much like the previous single “If God Don’t Follow Me” which was featured on MTV’s Teen Wolf and The CW’S hit series The Originals.

Groundbreaking art-rock performer, author and spoken word artist OTEP is thrilled to divulge new, behind-the-scenes information about her upcoming, currently untitled, full-length album. The album – her eighth overall and second with Napalm Records – is scheduled to hit stores later this year. OTEP and her band are currently recording at The Lair in Los Angeles, completely utilizing the same equipment used on their first album, Sevas Tra (down to her original vocal microphone, a SHURE Beta 58), in order to create a sound reminiscent of their roots. The Lair is also where OTEP recorded Smash The Control Machine, the band’s fourth release.

OTEP says this upcoming eighth album is undoubtedly the band’s most authentic and honest. “I’m co-producing this album with my guitarist Aristotle, which has allowed us to create without limitations. The musicality is stellar and has been elevated to a whole new stratosphere of sound. With Aristotle on guitar, Justin Kier on drums and Drew Barnes on bass, each musician has a powerful voice on this album.”

As for her lyrics, OTEP says, “No one is safe, no one escapes. It’s powerful, poetic, patriotic protest music. One could say it’s an activist album hoping to incite social change and support those who are at the barricades, who are marching in the streets for justice, who are demanding our government protect our great nation from enemies foreign and domestic – this includes the bloated colostomy bag disgracing the White House, Traitor Trump, and his loafer licking cronies… but I digress.”

This new album will follow OTEP’s previous full-length, Generation Doom, released via Napalm Records in 2016. The critically acclaimed album debuted at #10 on the Independent Chart, #7 on the Rock Chart, #4 on the Hard Rock Chart and #109 on the Top 200 Albums Chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. OTEP expects this next album to transcend all previous achievements, and feels spiritually strong about the number eight.

“Writing our eighth album is not only a blessing for which we are forever grateful but the number itself is said to have magical properties,” says OTEP. “In Norse mythology, the horse of the god Odin has eight legs. The Pythagoreans considered the number eight the “little holy number”. The eighth day of the Chinese New Year is the annual gathering of all the gods in Heaven. In the Tarot, eight is the card for Justice which seems appropriate considering the current political climate we are suffering through. The mathematical symbol for infinity is an eight on its side. There are eight festivals observed in the Wicca Wheel of the Year. There were eight gates surrounding the ancient city of Babylon. The eighth gate was named the Gate of Ishtar. Ishtar is the goddess of love and war, the Queen of the Earth and Heaven. She is the morning and evening star. Qualities I certainly relate to. And finally, I’m a Scorpio and Scorpio is the eighth astrological sign in the Zodiac.

A 33rd Degree Freemason and Master Rosicrucian, Manly P. Hall once said, ‘The rites of the Scorpion are the Mysteries of the Apocalypse and the ceremonies of Dionysus.’ Expect the unexpected. Expect to have your brain pushed back.”

OTEP shook up the United States last year with her popular “The Resistance” World Tour performances-potent, engaging exhibitions of activism awareness spreading the vital word on equal rights, social education and political enlightenment. This summer, OTEP will return to the stage at Rock Fest in Cadott, WI!

The 25th annual Rock Fest will take place from July 12-14, 2018 on the Rock Fest grounds and will be hosted by radio personality Lou Brutus. Three-day ticket holders are invited to an exclusive Bonus Bash on Wednesday, July 11 that will feature some of the biggest names coming to the festival. Disturbed, Incubus and Godsmack are slated to headline the festival, with additional performances confirmed from Rise Against, Halestorm, Seether, Black Label Society, Bush and many others. Rock Fest tickets, camping and pit passes are on sale now at For additional information and a complete line-up list, visit

Independent electronic producer Uppermost shares latest single ‘Slide ft. Yudimah’ on 19th January via Uppwind Records. Lifted from the upcoming album Perseverance scheduled for release on the 23rd March, the track features French independent rapper Yudimah. Recently released singles ‘Make A Change’ and ‘Step By Step ft. Sôra’ saw substantial support from publications such as COMPLEX, PAPER Mag, Magnetic Mag, Paste Mag, Tasty Network, Chill Masters, Wobblecraft and KCRW’s Travis Holcombe. Uppermost’s previous hit tracks ‘Flashback’ and ‘Beautiful Light’ have already generated more than 27 million combined streams, whilst his single ‘Disco Kids’ was selected to be featured in Mercedes-Benz’ Formula One campaign and his track ‘Flashback’ was featured on Vivelle Dop’s TV. Uppermost has also received significant media attention from numerous tastemaker publications including DJ MAG, Vice, YourEdm and Earmilk, major Youtube channel Mr Suicide Sheep, BBC Radio 1 and Virgin Radio. In addition to releasing music via his own independent label UPPWIND, Uppermost has released music through major labels such as Sony and Ministry Of Sound and done official remixes for the likes of Dada Life and Lemaitre as well as sharing the SOLIDAYS stage with Madeon, Yelle, Fakear and Die Antwoord.

Based in Paris, Behdad Nejatbakhshe aka Uppermost crafts each of his compositions with the will to bring instinctive emotion into the spotlight. Raised on Persian musical influences, the emotional side of music inspired his interest in formulating melodies and chords. His recent release of a 23-track career-spanning collection titled Origins (2011-2016) was a showcase of his french-wave touch, liquid disco grooves, and penchant for molten guitar funk.

Citing inspiration from artists such as Daft Punk, Burial, Apparat, Phoenix and Pogo, Uppermost is able to transform his affinity for these acts into a sound that pays homage to their influence, while at the same time resonating with his own distinctive style.

Uppermost’s latest single ‘Slide ft. Yudimah’ begins with introductory synthesizers and pianos before crashing into concrete, percussive beats against French rapper Yudimah’s expressive language and unabridged poetry. The chorus is filled with stop-start styled guitars and electronics to create a unique and fresh perspective with just enough energy to lure you on to the dancefloor.

Speaking on the new single, ‘Slide ft. Yudimah’, Uppermost comments: “When working on a collaboration, I like to let the vocalist express his own thoughts without any constraint of theme. This is one of the very first times that the lyrics perfectly meet the original inspiration of the instrumental. Yudimah is not a simple rapper, he’s got something different that directly speaks to the soul.”

We Have The Moon

ROCKSHOTS RECORDS is thrilled to announce the signing of Italian partycore misfits WE HAVE THE MOON for their upcoming debut album “Till The Morning Comes”. Inspired by the fresh sound and attitude delivered by bands such as Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack! and Eskimo Callboy, WE HAVE THE MOON delivers tunes that experiments with metalcore, dance, pop and electronic music to arrive at their sound dubbed partycore.

Featuring 11 non-stop tracks, the concept of the debut album is to take listeners on the various stages of one long party night, from the entrance at the club to the time you get back home in the morning, stumbling on every step. The debut album is set for release on February 23, 2018 via ROCKSHOTS RECORDS and follows their fan loved singles “Killer Party” (2017), “Unreasonable” (2016) (which appear on the album), “Blue (Eiffel65 cover)” (2016) and 2015 EP “Scream and Dance”.

As vocalist Makku comments:

“We think our fans will love the upcoming album: the new sound delivered by first our first single Killer Party was really appreciated, so we felt confident in going that direction to writing our other songs. However, we did experiment during the composition of the new tunes, which we took a serious approach to, but also had lots of fun writing. We want fans to fill the energy, fun and engage it good times while listening to it.”

American Glutton

American Glutton’s new stomping new EP ‘Dish Served Cold’ is out now.

Blending hard rock and a touch of metal, this is a huge, chunky, riff soaked EP that is as catchy as hell & guaranteed to get even the most cynical up & rocking!

American Glutton is a hard rock/ heavy metal band based out of Jacksonville, Florida, that features three powerhouse veteran performers: Raven Cain, a solo artist in his own right as the group’s vocalist, alongside Tommy Harrison, widely known as the guitarist for Denver rock legends Dogs of Pleasure, and Dani Harrison, who established himself in the Denver scene as part of The Trainwreckers. After joining forces in 2016, American Glutton moved into the studio, releasing their debut Dish Served Cold on From the Ashes Records in 2017.

Initially, the group began to find followers from students at Jacksonville University and the University of Central Florida, as Tommy is a university professor who is still shredding through his lifelong love of metal. This unusual meeting of academia and heavy metal began to spread, and the band’s reputation began to grow. Cain’s fan base, whose own fans knew of him primarily through his performances of southern rock, were surprised at Cain’s versatility in a genre the fans were unaware of. For Cain whoever, who grew up on heavy metal, it wasn’t surprised at all. Fans of country rock band the Trainwreckers were equally astounded at Dani’s prowess playing music that was stylically different than what his fans were used to. Yet, the trio’s debut recording laid any doubts to rest with its powerful, groove based approach to metal inspired by Black Sabbath and groups from the 1980s. A powerful live act, joined by drummer Kirk Ferguson, the group has expanded its sights on the heavy metal scene United Kingdom and Europe.

Corrington Wheeler

Check out Corrington Wheeler’s latest single out Feb 20th!

Jennings Couch

After reaching outstanding heights on his previous single ‘Serotonin’, 22 year old Jennings Couch is starting the new year off the right way with the announcement of his latest single ‘Stay Out’ set for release on 26th January. As anticipation continues to brew for the forthcoming EP set to be released in the not too distant future, ‘Stay Out’ gives us a taste of what to expect, and the standards we are dealing with from this young muse, as it carves a path through raw emotion and untouched mind sets.

Utilizing the expertise of producer Kevin Malpass (The Four Of Us, Creep, Sia) and Christopher Neil (Cher, Rod Stewart, Celine Dion), the new single fosters an organic and earthy sound, amalgamated with layers of contemporary production to create an immediate and long lasting impactful edgy, alternative indie song. Encompassing a cross between the influential and notable Blink 182 and Frank Turner, ‘Stay Out’ stands up in its own rights as a new age anthem significant to young girls and boys in 2018.

Commenting on the song himself, Jennings states “It is essentially a break up song, sung through the words and ideas of young teenagers. The idea that kids either put up a sign or tell their parents/siblings to ‘Stay out of my room’, is what kick-started the lyric to this song. You’re essentially telling your other half to get out of your life.”

Through the incorporation of tantalizing vocals and rustic guitar lines, ‘Stay Out’ delves into the ominous and relatable feelings of teenage angst that comes when you tear yourself away from a once lover. It focuses on this foreign feeling of pain related to a break up that teenagers do not understand yet and the confusion on how to deal with it.

“I feel it is relevant in 2018 because young teenagers still experience painful heartbreak. I think it’s a strong, empowering song that people will be able to relate to.”

Born in the urban wilderness of New York City before emerging from the serenely rural countryside of England and then making it in the streets of West London, Jennings Couch is a man who embodies the virtues of his environments whilst imbuing his artistic output with reflections of all of his life experiences and observations to date. By early 2017, and having perfected their craft week in and week out at numerous haunts across the UK, Couch’s band were on their way to Austin, Texas to perform at SXSW. Initially only invited for one show, they managed to gain the attention of numerous promoters and demand was such that they were added to the line-ups at both the The Apple Music House and the BBC British Music Embassy at Latitude 30.

The Urban Voodoo Machine

After saying Goodbye To Another Year in true UVM fashion, The Urban Voodoo Machine are back in 2018 bringing the January Blues – a bittersweet take on what the new year has to hold. The flip-side to the single sees a Soho London-centric twist of the Glen Campbell classic Rhinestone Cowboy. The Bourbon Soaked Gypsy Blues troupe is led by the ever enigmatic Paul-Ronney Angel, supported by a murderers’ row of rogues dressed in black & red. Considered one of the most impressive acts in the country right now – a claim supported by Classic Rock.

The Minnesota Child

Ethan Buckner (aka The Minnesota Child) picked up the guitar at 16 and started writing songs after he witnessed death for the first time. Inspired by the reflective and soulful songwriting of Sam Beam, Paul Simon, and Justin Vernon, Ethan channeled his own grief and love into his newfound passion for poetry and melody. At first, he saw songwriting as a purely personal exercise, but after being encouraged by close friends, he began performing and eventually recording his songs.

Now, The Minnesota Child is gearing up to release its most expansive work to date in the form of the Fireflies EP. Buckner chose the pseudonym of The Minnesota Child in 2011 while on a cross country roadtrip, because “the songs I write evoke a yearning for home, whether that lies in a place, a person, or a community.” The Minnesota Child released his first EP The Captain in November 2013, after moving to Oakland, CA, where he still lives. The five-track record is a dramatic soundscape of love, hope, and memory.

Fireflies, will be The Minnesota Child’s first full-band EP. Produced by Jeff Saltzman (The Killers, Blondie) and Matt Buckner, the album features an expansive sound. Fireflies is set to be released in early 2018. The record infuses Ethan Buckner’s soulful songwriting with lush harmonies, intricate instrumentals, and powerful rhythms to produce a full symphonic sound to take on the open road or a hike in the woods.

Look for Fireflies out February 2nd via self-release and be sure to follow The Minnesota Child on any of their social channels detailed below.

Russian Baths

Intertwining feedback and harmony with equal significance, Russian Baths paint in searing strokes finding beauty in towering, looming, incendiary noise-rock. Comprised of Luke Koz (guitar, vox), Jess Rees (guitar, keys, vox) and joined by Evan Gill Smith (bass) and Jeff Widner (drums), the band has been honing their craft and chemistry since initially storming listeners with their split single, “Ambulance / Ghost.”

Russian Baths now announce the forthcoming release of their debut EP, Penance, and their signing to Brooklyn-based label Good Eye Records.

Incorporating dissonance into traditional song structures, Penance’s aesthetic recalls Big Black’s caustic fits, ’70s space rock, Chapel Hill’s noise pop, Big Muff driven grunge, and the angular arrangements of British post-punk. The breadth of Russian Bath’s scope in sound is marked by the distance and cohesion between singles in the furious, driving “Slenderman” and the elegant thunderstorm that is “Poolhouse.”

Stay tuned for more from Russian Baths and be sure to follow them on their social outlets detailed below. Penance is out February 23rd and is the fourth release from Good Eye Records.

Twentynine Palms, CA-based sludge/doom metal group ATALA just released their upcoming full-length concept album, Labyrinth of Ashmedai, via Salt of the Earth Records. Labyrinth of Ashmedai can be ordered now via

As a follow up to their most recent music video for the sludge metal anthem “Wilted Leaf”, ATALA has just revealed another sweltering desert-based music video for the track “Tabernacle Of”.

As with their last record, Shaman’s Path of the Serpent, Labyrinth of Ashmedai was produced by fellow Twentynine Palms native Billy Anderson, recognized for his work with colossal bands such as Sleep, Melvins and Mastodon. The band says working with Anderson gives thema great advantage, because not only does he bring out their best, he understands their background on a personal level.

Musically,ATALA draws inspiration from their local environment, but not in the way other bands from the area do. Twentynine Palms is very different from its neighboring national park, Joshua Tree. Instead, the members of ATALA feel more sullen in their outlook – inspired by true struggles they see the effects of often – like war, poverty, death, drugs, gang violence, prostitution and murder.

The concept of Labyrinth of Ashmedai is inspired by Asmodeus, or “Ashmedai”, the biblical “king of demons”. Conjuring grit-laced sludge inspired by their barren and often oppressive desert backdrop, ATALA grips the listener with reflective, crushing doom atmospheres dripping with stoner rock and experimental influences to boot.

It might have taken PLENTY three decades, including a long period of dormancy, to release a new album, but there is absolutely no doubting that PLENTY’s pedigree promises an album well-worth the wait.

It Could Be Home is set to be released on Karisma Records in CD, Digital, LP and Limited Edition Blue Vinyl formats on April 27th.

Formed in 1986 from the remnants of the eccentric Liverpool-based Post-Punk ensemble A BETTER MOUSETRAP and the Art Rockers from Warrington, AFTER THE STRANGER, PLENTY would be the immediate predecessor to Tim Bowness’ NO-MAN band. With a sound that alternated between electro-pop anthems, poignant ballads and ambient experiments, and with a distinct nod towards contemporary artists such as THE BLUE NILE and PREFAB SPROUT, PLENTY found themselves positioned alongside icons such as DAVID BOWIE and PETER GABRIEL.

Three cassette releases appeared between 1987 and ’88, along with two live appearances the following year, as well as the obligatory lineup changes, until PLENTY called a temporary halt to proceedings in 1990, when band members found themselves involved with other projects, either musically or in their personal lives. It was a hiatus that was to last until 2016, when, between the spring of that year, and the summer of 2017, PLENTY’s most enduring lineup of Tim Bowness on vocals, Brian Hulse on guitars and keyboards, and David K Jones on bass, got together once more to re-record the band’s 1980 catalogue of 16 songs, along with one completely new one, in order to complete ‘It Could Be Home’ the album they had hoped to release three decades earlier.

Remaining faithful to both the spirit of the original recordings, and the era in which they were written, the band re-wrote some of the lyrics and streamlined some of the song arrangements in order to finally produce ‘It Could Be Home’. It is an album that showcases the origins of the styles that were subsequently to become the trademarks of Bowness and NO-MAN. Significantly, it also reveals a variety of shades to Bowness’ singing, as Jones’s powerful bass playing and Hulse’s inventive guitar parts and pulsating electronics, push his vocals into territories he has rarely explored since the 1980s.
Mixed and instrumentally augmented by Norwegian producer Jacob Holm-Lupo (WHITE WILLOW, THE OPIUM CARTEL), and mastered by THE PINEAPPLE THIEF’S Steve Kitch, the album also features contributions from former PLENTY guitarist Michael Bearpark, pianist Peter Chilvers (BRIAN ENO, KARL HYDE) and NO-MAN violinist Steve Bingham.

Long Distance Calling

German instrumental rock powerhouse Long Distance Calling are set to release their sixth studio album ‘Boundless’ this Friday 2nd February 2018. To celebrate its imminent arrival, the band have launched an album player featuring snippets from all the albums tracks.

The album will be released as a special edition digipak CD, Gatefold 2LP + CD (incl. etching on side D) & as digital download. Pre-order now here:

Following the release of two albums that saw the band exploring the addition of vocals to their sound, the band have gone back to basics and created a purely instrumental record.

The band comments: “We are happy to announce our new album ‘BOUNDLESS’ which will see the light of day on February 2nd 2018. This time around the four of us locked ourselves in a room over a couple of months and pretty much got back to where we started as a band to catch this “go with the flow” feeling. This is probably the purest LDC album ever, no guests, no vocals, all instrumental. We´re stoked how it turned out and this album got a lot of energy, heaviness, melodies and twists, we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.”

Floor Eight

FLOOR EIGHT announce the release of their debut international single “ Plan H ” in January 2018. The track is the perfect introduction to the band’s unique blend of organic melodies, sense of timing and driving riffs creating an immediate, long-lasting and impactful piece of experimental indie.

After spending years in various projects in the resort city of Eilat , vocalist/guitarist
May, guitarist Johnny , bassist Maor and drummer Oran joined forces in 2014 to form a new band that would combine their disparate playing styles and taste. Rapidly making a name for themselves in their hometown the four piece exhausted every playing possibility.

Relocating to the emerging musical hub of Tel Aviv in 2016 the band moved into a shared unit
within their rehearsal space which also hosts some of the city’s other rising talents. In this unique setting, the band is able to write together with no time or noise restraints. This unrestricted freedom allows Floor Eight to hone their craft organically. Picking up where they left off they continued to gig frequently starting to build a loyal and rabid following in the city and beyond.

In 2017 the band entered the studio to record the tracks that would form their debut album
‘Completely Dismissed’ with producer Or Lubianiker. Drawing influences from the likes of
Radiohead, The Mars Volta ,Jeff Buckley and Queens Of The Stone Age the band create a distinct psychedelic/alternative-rock sound which succeeds in being both hard-hitting yet articulate. These recordings succeed in representing the sound the band has carved out on the road and reflects the more melodic psych elements they have been hinting towards.

The band say of the album: “‘Completely Dismissed ‘ is a concept that strongly relates to a belief we share regarding the carelessness, and apathy society is demonstrating towards the
environment we share. Using the art and the music we create, we want to get more people to be more present in the moment, rather than living in an unconscious, autopilot like mindset”.

The track “Plan H ” is the first single to be taken from the album. With a tight rhythm section anchoring the progressive rock layered melodies Floor Eight evoke promises of a band who could be here for a long time to come.
