AXS TV presents season three of the popular reality series EX-WIVES OF ROCK, premiering on Wednesday, February 17, with back-to-back episodes at 9:00pE and 9:30pE. The 13-episode series will air each week with two originals for six weeks at 9 and 9:30pE, respectively. EX-WIVES OF ROCK is part of AXS TV’s Rock and Roll lineup, that also includes BREAKING BAND and the fan-favorite concert series LIVE FROM RED ROCKS.

EX-WIVES OF ROCK is the outrageous-but-true story of the former loves of some of rock and metal’s most notorious icons, as they fight to make a name for themselves, deal with real-life circumstances, and look for new romance. The cast is led by infamous model, music video goddess, and best-selling author Bobbi Brown, ex-wife of late Warrant frontman Jani Lane; and also includes Sharise Neill, ex-wife of Motley Crue star Vince Neill; Athena Kottak, ex-wife of Scorpions drummer James Kottak, and sister of Motley Crue figurehead Tommy Lee; and Susan ‘Blue’ Ashley, ex-wife of Warrant bassist Jerry Dixon. Shannon Tweed, the better half of KISS’ Gene Simmons, is the narrator for the series.

The series’ third edition finds Bobbi’s popularity at an all-time high following the success of her tell-all book DIRTY ROCKER BOYS. But, questionable hook-ups and angry relatives could throw a wrench in her rock n’ roll revival. Then, Sharise struggles to balance her blossoming romance with a successful dentist, with her ever-complicated family life. And Athena makes an earth-shattering decision that could change her life forever, while Blue returns from her sabbatical with a radical new business idea and some crazy stories to share.

“EX-WIVES OF ROCK gives viewers an intimate look into the lives and loves of women who were behind some of rock’s most successful musicians in the ‘80s, as they enter a new era determined to forge their own legacies and search for new romances,” said Michele M. Dix, AXS TV’s senior vice president, programming and development

Lyric Jones

stay mad

It’s far from a cliche when it comes to this timely new visual from emcee, vocalist and drummer Lyric Jones. Now based in Los Angeles, Jones teams up with fellow lady in rhyme, Rogue Venom & producer duo Dirty Diggs for a long awaited official video for her earlier single, “Stay Mad”. Jones and Venom are spitting hot fire while getting their “domestic” chores out of the way in a laundromat and as they hit the supermarket. Gotta love the irony.

“Stay Mad” hails from “Lyric Jones’ most recent project, titled GEMS From The Cubicle featuring Planet Asia, Tristate, Rozewood & Daniel “SkyHigh” McClain.

Esperanza Spalding

Esperanza Spalding’s new project Emily’s D+Evolution, set for release on March 4th on Concord Records, is a fresh artistic vision for the 4-time GRAMMY winner, a daring tapestry of music, vibrant imagery, performance art and stage design. Co-produced by Esperanza and Tony Visconti (David Bowie), the album is an electrifying take on the power trio adorned with backing singers and touches of synthesizer, “as if to fly the pirate flag of the Black Rock Coalition” according to The New York Times.

Esperanza assembled a new band for Emily’s D+Evolution including guitarist Matthew Stevens (Christian Scott) and drummer Karriem Riggins (Madlib, Erykah Badu). She recorded some of the album’s eleven tracks in front of a small audience in a Los Angeles studio. The result is otherworldly cosmic soul; kinetic songs that burst with energy and life. Album opener “Good Lava” offers a grand salvo: sinewy riffs doubled on electric bass and distorted guitar with melodies that stick and float across registers.

Spalding, who has performed everywhere from the Oscars to the White House, will tour extensively around the world in support of Emily’s D+Evolution. Dates to be announced in due course.

Killing Joke

This amazing visual should take the sting off the fact that the band had to regretfully postpone a planned Winter 2016 headline tour of North America. Stay tuned for more KILLING JOKE news. But first, immerse yourself fully in “Euphoria.”

Emerson Windy

Emerson Windy recently had to surrender the beat to the title track from his upcoming sophomore album ‘Prince Of Zamunda’. He received the beat from one of his favorite Producers, Deafh Beats July 2015 and created the single “Prince Of Zamunda”. When Pusha T released his latest project ‘Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude’ one of the tracks “Retribution” had a familiar sound. It turned out to be the beat Windy used for “Prince Of Zamunda”, only then realizing he never sent it back to the Producer letting him know he was going to use it. The sound made its way to Timbaland who sent it to Executive Producers on KingPush project—Kanye West and P. Diddy. Needless to say the beat was picked up by G.O.O.D. Music and used on Pusha’s album. The Source Magazine released an article yesterday outlining the entire situation and capturing Emerson Windy’s classiness as he congratulated his friend Drumlord aka Deafh Beats for the accomplishment. Windy spoke about his collaboration with Producers from Norway and Paris that will be featured on the project when it comes out this Spring.
