SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 26, 2015 – Faith No More confirm their first North American shows since 2010 with a spring outing kicking off April 15 in Vancouver.
The announcement comes as the Bay Area band wraps up work on their follow-up to 1997’s Album of the Year.  The as-of-yet untitled album is due this May via the band’s newly formed imprint, Reclamation Recordings, which is distributed by Ipecac Recordings.  Faith No More founder and bass player, Bill Gould is overseeing production.
“Here we go,” said Gould. “First North American tour dates, some in cities we haven’t played in over 17 years.  We are armed with the new material and ready for whatever comes our way.”

The Jesus and Mary Chain

“the most notorious band since the Sex Pistols…Some of Psychocandy is beautifully wasted pop; some sounds like being trapped in a wind tunnel full of broken glass and bees; the rest sounds like both happening at once.” – Dorian Lynskey, The Observer

“The Jesus and Mary Chain’s debut is a decadent alt-rock masterpiece of bubblegum pop – with “Just Like Honey,” “My Little Underground” and “Never Understand” – drowned in feedback.” – Rolling Stone, The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time

“Psychocandy was meant to be a kick in the teeth to all of those who stood in our way at the time, which was practically the whole music industry. In 1985 there were a great many people who predicted no more than a six month life span for the Mary Chain.” – Jim Reid

30 years on the band return – regularly cited by the media as one of the great rock’n’roll bands and by a raft of new groups as a major influence.

THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN is now pleased to announce its first full US run ofPsychocandy US tour dates, hitting new cities in May 2015. This will be the continuation of a year of activity not only celebrating the 30th anniversary ofPsychocandy but also looking firmly ahead to the future.

Move Festival

(Albany, NY) – January 26, 2015

The MOVE Music Festival today announced a series of important dates in advance of its fourth yearly installment, scheduled for April 24-26 2015. Produced by Albany-based Indian Ledge Music Group and Avid Entertainment, the festival will make an extended return to New York’s capital city. The MOVE Music Festival will consist of over 100 bands performing at ten venues across Albany, NY. It will take place over three days, and will include live music showcases, interactive roundtable discussions, industry panels, and a keynote speaker (to be announced). There will be a limited amount of early bird ticket available for $15, and will go on sale Monday, January 26 at 9:00 AM (EST). Wristbands will gain the holder access to every MOVE event throughout the 3-day weekend. More information regarding The 2015 MOVE Music Festival and advance wristbands is available on the festival’s website.

To date, more than 8,000 bands have submitted to play the festival since its inception in 2012. Among those, 300 bands, duos, and singer-songwriters have performed at the festival. Performer submissions for this year’s MOVE Music Festival began on January 1 and will run through March 15. In addition, MOVE has announced the MOVE Music Video Awards, set for the evening of Sunday, April 26 at the Madison Theater. Awards will be presented for Best Video, Best Live Video, and Creative Achievement Award. Judges will be announced within the next month. Submissions for the MMVAs are open to all artists and music videos, and will begin soon

Several popular acts from throughout the Northeast added to the buzz surrounding last year’s MOVE Music Festival. The lineup included Magic Man, The So So Glos, Shinobi Ninja, goodbyemotel, Sean Rowe, and Davenport Cabinet (the founding member of Coheed and Cambria). Due to such lineups, The MOVE Music Festival continues to grow in relevance and popularity, as evidenced by the fact that more than 3,500 acts submitted to perform in 2014 alone. This was a 40% increase from 2013, and a 70% increase from 2012.

One of the most appealing features of the MOVE Music Festival is the opportunity for musicians to network. According to the festival’s organizers, there will be a merchandise trade show and interactive round table sessions with industry professionals at the Hilton Albany lodging and convention complex in downtown Albany. The roundtable sessions will “give MOVE artists an intimate opportunity to connect with various companies that will provide vital information, creative solutions and online strategies regarding the development, management and progression of their music careers.” Bands can expect to discover a number of diverse perspectives on how to advance their musical endeavors and find new ways to attain sustainability, reach more fans, book shows, promote their music, and market their brand.

Representative of the entire Northeast, the MOVE Music Festival is also the embodiment of Albany’s musical renaissance. Exciting new bands have been popping up throughout the Capital Region, while the city’s music venues have been thriving. The MOVE Music Festival is at the forefront of this blossoming scene, as it features several bands from Albany and the surrounding area.
