Seth Bogart

d3fe1b0e-d7c4-4267-85dd-0dfbb9214b81

Burger Records is excited to announce the official debut album from Seth Bogart, the former frontman for iconic DIY acts Hunx & His Punx and Gravy Train!!!! The genre-twisting pop homage features guest appearances from Kathleen Hanna, Tavi Gevinson, Clementine Creevy (Cherry Glazerr), Chela and is co-written and produced by long-time friend Cole MGN (Julia Holter, Ariel Pink, DâM FunK etc).

Following years of creating and touring with his punk projects, Seth’s reinvention began when he moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and started to focus on his visual art. Amongst other things, he opened his Wacky Wacko store, based on his extremely popular clothing line, collaborated on a special limited edition collection with Saint Laurent and had installations at various galleries and museums, including 356 S. Mission Road (Ooga Booga 2) and MoCA Geffen Contemporary, all the while still working on new music.

With new surroundings and inspiration, a laptop, guitar, microphone, a $50 keyboard and help from Cole MGN, Seth’s new sound was born. Inspired by music he grew up loving – Radio Disney, Broadcast, 80s French Pop like Lio and Plastic Bertrand, Le Tigre, Nina Hagen and Kraftwerk – the new sound is a welcomed adventurous step in a completely new direction. Previously, Seth shared the first single “Eating Makeup”, featuring a vocal assist from the legendary Kathleen Hanna. The song is based on an episode of “My Strange Addiction” in which the subject is literally addicted to eating makeup. The tongue-in-cheek video directed by JJ Stratford (Telefantasy Studios) shows off Seth’s friends eating makeup but also acts as a Pee Wee’s Playhouse-meets-Liquid Television-inspired social commentary on the effects of the beauty industry. Today, Seth shares new track “Forgotten Fantazy” that shows his more somber and contemplative side.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa is kicking off 2016 with a nomination for BBC Music’s Sound Of 2016 and with accolades flowing in from both sides of the Atlantic. 2016 is the year to keep your eyes & ears open for this Londoner that Popjustice recently named The New Artist Most Likely To Save Pop In 2016 and that TIME declared an “elegant pop superstar-in-waiting…”

The BBC Sound Of list showcases the most exciting and innovative rising stars. It has gained a reputation as a democratic survey, giving a glimpse into the future of music and predicting some of the biggest acts in the world. Previous winners include Adele, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding and HAIM. The track “New Love” is also available on iTunes along with “New Love,” the track that had Fader declaring Dua Lipa their new love.

Lacey Sturm

Album’s Hit Single “Impossible” Garners Acclaim, Nikki “Sixx Picks,” Spins Across The Country

Lacey Performs This Week In SiriusXM Octane, HardDrive, Loudwire NYC Studios

2016 Tour Includes Major Rock Festivals Rock On The Range, Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion, Welcome to Rockville, Northern Invasion

Four years following her departure from Flyleaf, the vocalist and songwriter who delivered rock anthems like “Again,” All Around Me,” “I’m So Sick” and “Fully Alive” to the top of the retail and radio charts, Lacey Sturm, announces that her debut solo album, Life Screams, will independently release Feb. 12 on FOLLOWSPOT Records with The Fuel Music distribution.

Writing alone, as well as with husband/guitarist Josh Sturm, Skillet’s Korey Cooper and Grammy Award winning writer and producer David Hodges, Lacey created a record that is the sonic successor to Flyleaf’s celebrated self-titled debut (which spent a staggering 133 weeks on Billboard’s Top 200). “In the beginning, Flyleaf really centered around my story and vision,” says the Platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated frontwoman of Flyleaf (through 2012). “This new project continues that narrative in a cohesive way.”

The debut single from Life Screams, “Impossible,” gives voice to that new narrative as it screamed into the top five of the iTunes Rock Top Songs chart when it released. The single reached as high as No. 2 on the chart following SiriusXM Radio Octane’s premiere of the song Nov. 1. In rotation now at Octane and numerous stations across the country, Lacey will travel to New York City this week to perform an acoustic rendition of the single in Octane’s studio, as well as in the HardDrive Radio studio. While in New York, Lacey will further complete an interview and performance in Loudwire’s studio. (Performances and interview air dates are to be announced.)

Raul Midón

Raul Midón’s pointedly titled new album ‘Don’t Hesitate’ demonstrates why, a dozen years and eight albums into a recording career that’s won him massive critical acclaim and a passionately devoted international fan base, he remains one of his era’s most distinctive and beloved recording artists.

A smoothly expressive singer, an emotionally insightful songwriter and an exciting, innovative acoustic guitarist, Midón maintains an expansive musical vision that’s led People magazine to call him “an eclectic adventurist” and Huffington Post to dub him “a free man beyond category… he plays with such freedom and joy that his hands smile.”. The New York Times described him as “a one-man band who turns a guitar into an orchestra and his voice into a chorus.” Billboard called him, simply and aptly, “a virtuoso.”

Michael Mcquaid

‘Glasshouse’ is McQuaid’s strongest work yet. The 6-track EP serves as the perfect soundtrack for a heartbroken lover. Glasshouse is a genre bender that mixes Rock and that new Alternative R&B sound. Nashville songwriting team Triple Suplex provide a moody mix of heavy 808s and whirling synths that combine to tell the story of a lover faced with the many stages of a fragile love life.

Michael McQuaid has a diverse list of influences that include everyone from the Beatles to Sam Cooke. The Texas native moved to Nashville to pursue music. He’s developed his artistry and his sound to deliver something special for listeners. While originally coming from a Pop/Rock background he has made the transition into the realm of R&B.

Mykell Vaughn is a hip hop artist; singer, rapper, and songwriter from Kansas City, Missouri. Vaughn grew up with his elder family members who introduced him to music early on in his career. His uncles often referred to him as “Little Master P,” when they noticed his star quality as a youth. At age 8, Mykell recorded his first song. Some of Mykell’ s biggest music influences are Master P, 2Pac and Nelly who greatly contributed to the type of music he creates today.

Vander

Vander is back with a followup single from his EP Venus. “Shine” follows the release of “Back To The Sun”, released in October of 2015. Vander has performed with his band in many legendary Sydney venues, from The Annandale Hotel to The Basement to Campbelltown Sports Stadium, as well as festivals including The Cruelty Free Festival. He also had the privilege of recently supporting legendary 80’s band, Pseudo Echo on all three Sydney legs of their current ‘Ultraviolet’ Tour.

Vander travelled to Los Angeles last year to work with Blue on three tracks, including ‘Back To The Sun’ as well as new songs ‘Shine’ and ‘Take You Home’. Vander has independently released his debut EP Venus which included these three tracks in October 2015. The EP has already garnered attention from US independent record label, EOne who are now interested in signing Vander and releasing the EP in the US.
