We Are The Catalyst

Today sees the release of the second single and video from We Are The Catalyst’s critically acclaimed album Monuments. “We have become know for very slick, well produced, big budget videos and while that’s not a bad thing, we decided this time to show a very different side of the band” said Kristoffer Andersson, lead guitarist for WATC.
“Never Fall is a real stripped back video that shows an intimate behind the scenes look at the bands recent highly successful 10 day tour of china” added Kenny Boufadene (Guitars and vocals). “We had an absolute blast playing China and as this video shows, it was as much about the country, the people and the fans as it was the tour itself”.

We Are The Catalyst are seriously riding high right now, having just been confirmed to play Bloodstock in the UK on the 7th of August, followed by an opening slot in Birmingham on October 23rd with Dutch band Delain which is set to also double up as an opening date for the bands first full UK tour. “We can’t wait to play Bloodstock” added Joni Kaartinen, Bass player for WATC “We hope that the release of Never Fall will give fans a taste of what they can expect to see when they come out and watch us live in the coming months”.

This summer and fall Birdcloud are taking the party on the road, bringing what the Nashville Scene describes as “a blast of refreshingly vulgar air,” to clubs and bars across America. “They aim to displease,” explained the Chicago Sun Times, “and that is certainly the charm of this duo who are shaking up the country cutie aesthetic and, more importantly, elevating women’s roles in the highly patriarchal cowboy community.” Joining them for many of the dates are Mountain Sprout and Blaine Cartwright, lead singer of Nashville Pussy.

For the past few years Birdcloud have used things like booze and sacrilege to make very modern country music. The duo write songs about what Sarah Palin deemed “the real America,” that unsung republic of countrified interstices stretching from coast to coast between cities. Kaset and Green’s America is a nation of indulgent reprobates and boastful imbeciles, laughing maniacs and horny high school dropouts- the desperate, absurd place we all inhabit in one way or another. In addition to their upcoming tour dates the duo is also working on their next EP, release details TBA.

The Listening Room Festival is designed to create profitable tours on top of powerful showcase opportunities. In addition to merchandise sales and house concert earnings, the concert hosts provide lodging, feed you, and brag about you to their friends.

_”The Listening Room Festival is an experience like no other. From the moment you step through the door of any one of the heartwarming homes you will perform in, you get the feeling that the audiences are ready to be dedicated fans even before you’ve played the first song. That, combined with the intimacy of playing in close quarters to these music lovers, creates an addictive performance environment for artists that crave appreciation. To summarize: We felt loved, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat.” The Doll Sisters, Contest Winner, 2015 Listening Room Festival_
