Natalia Lafourcade

The Album ‘Hasta La Raiz’ Is Already Certified Platinum In Mexico;
It Will Be Released Physically In The U.S. This Friday September 25th

Lafourcade Will Headline Her First-Ever Show At Mexico City’s Prestigious Auditorio Nacional (10,000 Capacity) On November 4th

Mexican indie pop darling Natalia Lafourcade launched her U.S. tour yesterday in support of her critically acclaimed album ‘Hasta La Raiz.’ The album will be released physically in the U.S. this Friday September 25th. Lafourcade’s tour includes four stops in California, Irving Plaza (New York City) and more.

The three-time Latin GRAMMY winner Lafourcade just completed a “Buscando Raices” tour across historic theaters in Mexico. The tour included stops in 7 theaters that are more than 100 years old, as part of an effort to promote awareness for the country’s most revered performance halls. In November, Lafourcade will headline Mexico’s legendary Auditorio Nacional (10,000 capacity) for the first time in her career.

Following a groundbreaking, multiple Latin GRAMMY-winning tribute album to the composer Agustin Lara, ‘Hasta La Raiz’ is Lafourcade’s first album of original material in six years. The album was produced alongside Cachorro Lopez and Leonel Garcia. It was recorded at El Ganzo Studios in Los Cabos, Baja California and Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas.

‘Hasta La Raiz,’ already certified Platinum in Mexico, features hit singles “Nunca Es Suficiente” and the title track, which broke into the Global Top 10 on the Spotify Viral 50 chart. In recent months, the album’s success has taken Lafourcade on tours to Italy and Spain as well as south to Chile and Argentina.

Gena Perala

Maybe Perala is “_Not a skinny girl” _or_ “A cool girl_” as the song lyrics suggest, but she’s definitely an Indie girl. Her DIY style is strong here as are her creative visuals – Old school pop punk with an artistic twist.

“Perala never strays away from touchy subjects or beats around the bush, always upfront and concise, her willingness to sing things, thoughts, and ideas that we may at first think are ‘weak’ or ‘desperate’, come off as stronger and more charismatic than ever. Never sugar-coating anything yet always able to sing with a sweetness that is hard to match, Perala has a natural knack for storytelling and opening up about certain subjects that others just cannot pull off or whom would never dare.”

The Musebox today announced that dynamic electronic DJ duo GTA will headline the fall electronic leg of the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. Comprised of Miami natives Julio Mejia and Matt Toth, GTA will be supported on the tour by XXL Freshman K-Camp and electronic DJs/producers Sweater Beats and Wax Motif. The tour begins on November 5 at Amos Southend (Charlotte, NC) and ends on November 28 at The Palladium in Los Angeles. More information on GTA and the fall tour is available on the duo’s official website.

The duo’s first production together garnered the attention of EDM heavyweights Laidback Luke, Diplo, and A-trak. In 2013, GTA were asked to provide direct support for Rihanna on her five-month Diamonds world tour. This took Mejia and Toth to Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa. They were soon selected to open on the UK Greater Than Tour with dance music titans Tiesto and Calvin Harris.

The pair have since performed at several iconic U.S. festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Electric Daisy Carnival. Most recently, GTA released their EP DTG (Death To Genres) Vol. 1 and dropped collaborations with Flosstradamus, Lil Jon, and Martin Solveig.

GTA are “beyond excited” to embark on their first headlining bus tour. They look forward to sharing stages with rapper K-Camp and electronic acts Sweater Beats and Wax Motif. Mejia and Toth welcome the opportunity to bring their own custom production and “pair the visual aspect of the show with our music how we’ve always wanted.”

Tour producer Steve Glazer stated explained why GTA are a perfect fit for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour: “We were fortunate enough to have GTA perform at SXSW, and they were easily the fan favorite of the weekend.”

Patti Griffin

Patty Griffin has partnered with Pandora for a first listen of her new album, Servant of Love. The album, due out September 25, is the Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter’s 10th, and her first to be released on her new self-owned imprint in conjunction with Thirty Tigers. It marks the third time she has collaborated with producer Craig Ross. Fans can pre-order the album now on Amazon.

In July, NPR premiered the album’s first song, “Rider of Days,” exclaiming, “Every Patty Griffin song arrives fully and perfectly formed, which is perhaps her greatest gift. She doesn’t require explanation or context, and she doesn’t have material that requires lead-up to enjoy. Her songwriting is honest and compassionate no matter the subject, her voice uniquely compelling and her guitar work unfailingly evocative.”

Griffin will begin her North American tour on September 22 in Waco, TX at Common Grounds. She will tour throughout the U.S. and Canada hitting up such major cities as Austin, New York City, Montreal, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles before the tour culminates on November 14 in Norman, OK at Sooner Theatre. Plans was released the following summer and debuted at number four, remaining on the Billboard charts for nearly one year and achieving platinum status on the strength of three singles.
