Details are still being updated but it seems as if sax player Tommy Marth, who sometimes played with the band The Killers, has committed suicide. According to news reports, he was found dead in his Las Vegas home this past Monday. According to MSNBC, the horn player died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head, a spokeswoman for the Clark County Coroner said on Thursday. It has been declared a suicide.

The 33 year old musician played on both The Killers’ second and third albums—2006′s Sam’s Town and 2008′s Day & Age—and also toured with the band in 2008 and 2009. The Killers tweeted, “Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There’s a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy.” You can read more about him here.
