I recieved a recommendation for Envy On The Coast from hstisgod today. I checked out their myspace link and I listened to all 12 songs that they have listed on their profile. I couldn't stop! I was really impressed. I found it amazing that they have a sound all their own and yet they fit so well into the music that seems to be really popular right now. Even though this band has a sound that seems like it could be something you hear on the radio, their uniquness sets them apart entirely. They are one of those bands that incorporate so many different styles and different talents into their songs. They go from poppy, to punk, to hardcore, to rock and back again. I almost hope that they do not start playing this band on the radio simply for the fact that songs tend to be overplayed and lose a lot of the glamour of "the secret" that comes from being known because of word of mouth. I love the feeling of finding a band or a song that is new. I love being the first person in my group of friends to recommend new music and this band is definately going to be recommended, and often!
