Currently, I am very interested in the Post Rock genre with my favorite new band being Russian Circles a la my user name (it's their best song and sounds kind of like my name so I thought it was fitting). My favorite band is Tool and I am not sure if that will ever change, but I dislike absolutes. I like to think that I have good taste and a good ear, but I know very little about the technical aspects of good music so you won't catch me talking about complicated time signatures and such. I am simply a lover of music who can tell good music from bad music while maintaining an open stance.
