Chaos Mind http://site.douban.com/chaosmind/ is a Shanghai metal band, representing the Chinese contingent of the show. Their lead singer, Sam, is well known as a show promoter, really pioneering the Shanghai metal scene. Sam's got amazing stage presence and his band his super tight and heavy. Moon Tyrant http://moontyrant.bandcamp.com/ is a Shanghai metal band, representing the local expat music scene (members from USA and Australia). They've moved away from an earlier fusion sound, and now have a more direct heavy metal sound that hits hard. They were heard recently on the We Are Shanghai compilation CD, which two of the band's members (lead singer Ivan and bassist JC) also helped organize. Also, last summer, they toured Mongolia (where the third band is from) as part of the Rock Naadam tour. Lead singer Ivan Belcic says: “We're definitely looking forward to sharing the stage again with our good friends Chaos Mind. And with Prophets making the trip down from Mongolia, it'll be a metal show the likes of which will bring gods and men alike trembling to their knees." This will be their first time playing outside of Mongolia, so the band is very excited to play. Similar to Chaos Mind, their lead singer, Uugii, is a tireless supporter of his local metal scene.
