With all this news of Sick Kids (SiKi) nearing completion I've been listening to Friends and Nervous Breakdowns a lot recently. It so incredible how an album put out in 2005 (comprised of songs written and recorded between 2000 and 2004) can be so honest and beautiful and innovative... and still ring true after 3 years. Everything from the record industry to being in a band to being completely misunderstood should not be taken lightly. Obviously you hear a white boy from ups

I have an extensive taste in music that radio fails to satisfy... so every few weeks I burn a mix CD that I listen to from start to finish with my fellow music geek friends. One day I'd love to force mass groups to listen to music of my choosing... but until then-

Mainly my year was broken up into album-eras. From the beginning of 2007 until about May my album of the year was Kiss Kiss' Reality Vs. The Optimist. From May until July it was Porcupine Tree's Fear of a Blank Planet. From July until October it was 3's The End is Begun. Overall, it's 3. I was distracted from TEIB for a good moment when No World For Tomorrow was released, but it just doesn't hold a can

"Dear Sam I'm Dead To You" was posted on Weerd Science's myspace page as a Thanksgiving treat to all his loyal fans. The new yet-to-be-completed track is downloadable for a limited time. It's fairly complete anyhow. All that's missing is Ill's touch. "Dear Sam I'm Dead To You" flows more like a song than a conventional h

May 24, 2007 I saw my second favorite band. Or maybe third favorite... One of my sentimental favorites.
I bought the tickets months ago before there were any New York dates because I wanted to make sure I could see Brand New this time around. I wasn't going to wait. The drive to Hartford was kind of annoying, but we got there in time. Caught the end of Anathallo's set. They had a ton of people on stage and seemed to be creating nothing but whiny noise.
