Good Morning. So as most of you heard about a month ago, my apartment got broken into and some stuff of mine and my roommates got stolen. The specific items that were stolen consisted of 2 iPods(1 30GB, 1 10GB), a macbook, and a zune. So a lot of stuff happened in the next couple of days. Turns out, the new roommate we were living with, Reko, was a felon and was on parole. I guess parolee's want an education too. But the school failed to tell us about this startling discovery. Well, the cops found our stuff in a Pawn Shop down in Laurel, Maryland. And when they found our stuff, seems like it was given to the shop by a Reko. The same Reko that I lived with. So one day when I had come back to Maryland my roommates, Demetrius and Kenny, watched Reko get arrested and taken to jail. We got the two iPods back along with the macbook. The Zune wasn't found. So after about a week of celebration and eating Reko's food, he just waltzed back into the apartment. Dumb move. We now knew he was the one that stole all of our stuff and we all wanted some revenge.
So because Kenny was the only one home, he called Demetrius and I, and Demetrius came rushing back. He got there before me and started beating the crap out of Reko. About five minutes later along with a broken nose and bloody floor Demetrius left Reko crying on the floor. So then Reko called the police and pressed charges against Demetrius. I was witness to the theft so I had to go to court. Kenny and Demetrius are in and out of court now. And everything seems to be getting better? So yeah. Thats what happened.
The school chose not to get involved even though all of this occured in school sponsored housing. The only time they got involved was with the assault case. Reko still attends the art institute of washington without a chance of being kicked out. But Demetrius on the other hand has been in and out of meetings where the he is threatened to be kicked out of school. Lame, right? So I want to take the time now to say that The Art Institute of Washington is falsly advertised on television and has the most pathetic staff I have ever seen for a school. If you're looking to continue a High School level career after you graduate, then go here. AIW has nothing to offer. The end.

Wow, this sucks ass.
I had a similar college experience, though nothing of mine was stolen. This guy on my floor and I were duking it out verbally for a while. Typically I'm just about the most mellow guy you could find but this guy was a giant douche and wanted to see me suffer apparently. One day during a party (we were both a bit inebriated) he chose to confront me. Unfortunately for him I was amped about starting a fight club that entire day.
At first I walked out of the room but then later I came back and gave him a swift punch to the gut, the first punch I had ever seriously delivered.
To make a long story short, he claimed to feel "unsafe" in the dorm with me there, got me kicked out of school, and I'm no longer allowed on the housing grounds of Towson University.
"Violence is not the answer" and "Patience is a virtue" are going to be my primary lessons for my children. That's for sure.
