Lyric of the day: "I'm not giving you attitude/I just want another drink." - Clutch, 'Power Player'.
This’ll be short, as I’m kinda working on a longer piece in regards to the supposed ‘death of the album’ that everyone’s in a tizzy about. Plus, I’m at work, and they sometimes monitor our internet access, which means I get to feel like I’m the plucky band of rag-tag rebels fighting the evil empire. These are not the droids you’re looking for…
Latest Acquisitions:
The Arcade Fire, Neon Bible – Okay, you’re right, you’re all right, it’s a good album, in fact it’s a great album, now if only everyone will stop TALKING about it so that it doesn’t get ruined for me like Funeral was (there's still a year's moratorium on that one in our little circle here...). I get it. You all love it. I’m gonna move on to something else now, ‘kay?
Clutch, From Beale Street To Oblivion – this is like ingesting meat through your ears. Clutch are a jazz/blues band hiding inside a beefy hard rock/metal band, and the addition of a full-time keyboardist/harmonica player only strengthens their arsenal. Neil Fallon will eat you alive if you’re not careful.
...and, yes, I would be remiss if I didn't plug the new Reverie Sound Revue song here; it's true metal mayhem...(cough)...just be careful around Lobsinger - she may look innocent enough, but she'll steal your soul when you're not looking; to be fair, she will buy you a Strongbow afterwards, but if you ask me, that's a pretty weak trade.
This is me leaving. Just remember that Han Solo was a badass because he shot first, mofos. Screw George Lucas’ revisionist history.

Obsession? Whatever. I can stop anytime I want.
Okay, I promise: no more making fun of Lisa.
(That new song IS good, though....)

I am enjoying the Arcade Fire as well. I wanted to hate it. I really did but it's a classic in the making.
Clutch - They can do no wrong. I'll be at Play this afternoon picking this one up.
And Chris, you really need to get over your Lisa Lobsinger obsession. Everytime you mention Reverie Sound Revue you mention her and Strongbow. If it would make you feel better, I'd buy you a pint of Strongbow.
