So I recently made this playlist to woo my woman. Since my last name is Berry and I'm a cheesy son of a bitch.. I named it Berry White. Here it is.
You Are The One-Shiny Toy Guns
Whispering Actually-I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business
Little Wing-Jimi Hendrix
Driftwood: A Fairy Tale-Cursive
1983...(A Merman I Should Turn to Be)-Jimi Hendrix
Jesus Christ-Brand New
The Wind Cries Mary-Jimi Hendrix
Spitting Venom-Modest Mouse
Capital G-Nine Inch Nails
Castles Made of Sand-Jimi Hendrix (she's big into hendrix in case you were wondering)
Televators-The Mars Volta
Red Cape Diver-Foxy Shazam
The Shaping of a Helpless Joy-Saxon Shore (Saxon Shore = the best prep music for a date)
This Time is the Last Time-Mae
Bold As Love-Jimi Hendrix
Comments:
I see Foxy Shazam, I see sex in your future. Kaching.
If you made me a playlist with Fozy Shazam, I'd do you. No lie.

Ah Strokin' is too well known and is a bit creepy to be getting someone in the mood in my opinion lol.

Why thank you sir!
I agree about the Hendrix comment. Though he was specifically chosen for this mix because of her particular inclination towards the Jimi, I would put at least one Hendrix tune on every love makin' cd.
Another great one that I've recently discovered that may not work in this time period but is still great for an ice breaker anyway is:
Making Love (at the Dark End of the Street) by Clarence Carter
I think that's the title.
Additional Tags: Clarence Carter, Jimi Hendrix

Niiice...Jimi is like buttah... he's literally i love you lotion for a woman. Im not sure how, but he seriously smacks a woman in the face on CD's like this...I dont think Mars Volta is that odd... very atmospheric and aggressive passion.... thats kinda what love is...Regardless nice disc!!

Believe it or not, I intended that song to be the lyrical climax in the playlist haha.
That song is amazing.
To clarify a bit, her and I have spent some time apart. Some of the songs dwell more on when we weren't together. Also, you have to take into account that I'm a music nerd. I tend to prefer instrumentation over lyric content in a lot of the music that I listen to.

"Do you believe you're missing outThat everything good is happening somewhere else? But with nobody in your bedThe night's hard to get throughAnd I will die all aloneAnd when I arrive I won't know anyone"
That'll woo her silly!

Oh please. You Are the One?? That song just screams "put me on a cheesy romantic playlist." I mean.. seriously.
Next time you and the wife go on a date, compile this playlist, burn the cd, and play it in the car on the drive there. I guarantee it'll go over well! Especially saxon shore.

I thought you lost me with Shiny Toy Guns. Damn, I hate them. But then, The Mars Volta? On a wooing playlist? Damn dude.
