Over the past year or so I've compiled this playlist of songs I've heard either in movie previews, in movies, have a movie quote, or on TV randomly.
Beware the Friendly Stranger Boards of Canada Geogaddi (Used in Salad Fingers online cartoons frequently)
Closer(Precursor) Nine Inch Nails Closer to God (Intro song in the film Seven)
Just Like You Imagined Nine Inch Nails The Fragile (Left) (The only reason I went to see 300 in theaters, it was in the preview)
The Perfect Drug Nine Inch Nails Lost Highway OST (Obviously.. from the movie "Lost Highway" which Trent Reznor scored wonderfully)
In the House - In a Heartbeat John Murphy 28 Days Later OST (greatest "RUN FROM THOSE ZOMBIES!!" song--ever)
Lux Aeterna Kronos Quartet Reqiuem for a Dream OST (also found in the first Saw film if I recall correctly)
Love Lost in a Hail of Gunnfire Bleeding Through Ozzfest Summer Sampler 2004 (epic Boondock Saints quote as the intro)
Dayvan Cowboy Boards of Canada The Campfire Headphase (heard it randomly one night on adult swim, those guys loves them some IDM)
Head Over Heels Tears for Fears Billboard Top 100 of 1985 (best song in Donnie Darko in my opinion, I don't remember what Tear's actual album name for this song was. I use Billboard a lot.)
El Cargo Amon Tobin Chaos Theory: Splinter Cell Soundtrack (again, adult swim)
