Neil Diamond was one of the first artists I ever really got into. I was bred on Neil's live album Gold and to this day it stands as one of my favorite live albums ever. It rocks harder than he's ever rocked since. I've seen him live a couple times too and while his performances have been lacking lately there is something to be said for seeing your childhood idols in a live setting.
Anyway, 67 year old Neil has just announced that he will be performing at Glastonbury this year. Call me crazy but that just seems strange. Cool, but strange. Maybe next year they will get Barry Manilow or Chris Isaak to play. Some other crooners. Who knows? If you're in England around June 27 make sure and head out to the wonderful countryside and check in with the Glastonbury festival this year. Looks like Kanye West and British Sea Power are a couple other acts that are rumored to be there this year.

yeh, although some might say he's the Justin Timberlake of his day, he's obviously got stamina!
