Another one, seeing the theme of my podcast this week was a random playlist, I thought I would keep it going. This one isn't quite as impressive as past ones but it did get me to listen to a couple things I hadn't heard in a while.
- Silver Ponds - Figurines (Skeleton)
- Bratislava - Beirut (Gulag Orkestar)
- Gorification - Brain Drill (Apocalyptic Feasting)
- Dog Shelter - Burial (Untrue)
- Upstairs In My House - Men At Work (Cargo)
- Stay - Saves the Day (Under The Boards)
- Raw - Saul Williams (The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!)
- Another Attack - Zox (Line In The Sand)
- You Oughta Know - The Killing Moon (Punk Goes 90's)
- Kicking Your Crosses Down - Circa Survive (On Letting Go)
I still love Men At Work. I do. Just seems like some timeless music to me.
Comments:
Decided to look it up: "the slang 'chunder' came from when the first fleet of convicts were being shipped to australia form england. and the prisoners were sea sick. and would yell out from the top deck to warn the their fellow prisoners below to "watch under" while vomiting above"
Lovely.

Hahahahaha, "Men Chunder". I used to think it was "And Clam Chowder", lol.

I don't mind the Brain Drill but I do feel like you do, it doesn't have sticking power. I'm finding that with a lot of Metal Blade bands right now.
And yes, "Down Under" is one of my acoustic songs that I play in regular rotation. But WTF does "Men Chunder" mean? Seriously. But my favorite two Men At Work songs have to be "Be Good Johnny" and "Overkill". Amazing!

How's that Brain Drill treating you? I checked that album out not too long ago, it's damn good but it didn't really stick with me at the time. I should give it another go...and Men at Work? Hell dude, that's nothing bad. I would feel more ashamed about being a Cure fan, as I am, than I would Men at Work. Just tell me this: are you a fan of "Down Under"? Haha.
