Good point, it isa bit gimmicky, I've only given it a few go arounds, but so far I digs. Then again, I think I've been listening to Dennis yap about Mward too much over the years, lol.

The Ben Kweller is a departure from what he usually does -- but I like it. I may just be a sucker for country pop though. It's definitely not quite the indie stuff that makes up the rest of the list. It probably won't make my final 10. Still pondering what it will be. I'm waiting for a few more albums to come out this year. I'll admit I haven't heard the entire Monsters of Folk yet. I think I like it, but all of those familiar voices in one place is kind of overwhelming and...dare I say it? gimmicky.

O coo... Yeah I just finished my top ten, just adding some trimmings, itll be up soon. Hey is the Kweller release really that good? Will definitely give Fruit Bats another shot on your word.
