So, I basically made this to assure Dennis that I'm writing the reviews for the albums he gave me. I realized that I'm taking my sweet old time reviewing this stuff so I felt kind of bad.
Andy told me that I'd get some okay stuff, some great stuff, and some lame stuff. Though I haven't given everything a proper listening, I'm enjoying a lot of the albums I received. Justin Klump's Something For September EP caught my interest first. I'm glad it did because this was a very good listen. He's a master classical guitarist who has a knack at writing sweet tunes. His sound isn't too far-fetched but there is something very distinct about it. The songs are sophisticated pop numbers with a classical vibe to them with soul-searching lyrics. I really respect his work. Andy Palacio's Watina also caught my interest, as I love all the different forms of world music. The lyrics cannot be understood as he sings in his native tongue but the songs are good enough to enjoy them anyway. Great stuff.
The first review I put up was the German's self-titled. Though it borrows a lot from it's influences, it remains to be a fine album. The other albums I skimmed through. Small Snail's Similar Anniversaries is great so far and I will soon listen to the rest of it. Eastern Conference Champions are also good with the three songs I got from them (that's a single, right?) Three albums are girl artists who haven't really caught my interest yet but I'm gonna keep trying to understand the albums. But out of all the stuff I got, The Western States Motels is by far my favorite. An outstanding debut, Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Carl Jordan is a master of his domain. A song like Powerlines never leaves your soul. This is the album I'm working on reviewing next, I really enjoyed it. Seems he is getting popular also, one of his songs was featured on and episode of "The OC".
I'll have a real blog up in a day or two. I wonder what I'll talk about, the Hell that is fundraisers and community services that don't help the community, standardized testing, or maybe just the wonder that is coffee. Well, they'll all become award winning blogs, we all know this cause I'm amazing...

Ha, you are alive green_clash. Thanks for the update. I try to mix up the packages pretty good. Kick Andy next time you see him.
Coffee, mm, goodness.
Oh, and welcome to the world of reviewing. You can't expect all goodness all the time. It's your job to weed through the shit to pull out the roses.
