I was at the gym the other day and as if the stations they play there are not a bunch of crap, they have them about 2 inches from you face at eye level. It's ok if it's a baseball game or CNN, though I dislike Nancy Grace and Fox's highly dramatized news that Grace only chooses to report if it sticks to her horrific ideas of what news is. Fox News is on my shitlist as well.
Unfortunately one day I just happened to look up and see this man in a car riding around in beautiful neighborhoods. He was speaking with one of his interns about sales "there's college world, in which you work for now, and there's me, who is realistic. Realisticly you would not be working for me. You might not even be allowed back into college after I give you an F because you're not trying"...Doesn't sound so bad yet.
The man talking to his intern was obviously the boss. I don't see how anyone would want to work with this asshole. I know this isn't musically related, but I can make it musically related by quoting Johnny Paycheck "Take this job and shove it. If you're a Johnny Cash fan, you could compare this dickhead to "Oney". I'm not going to explain it, the gist of it is a man is getting ready to retire and wants to give his asshole boss a little something to remember him by after working for 20 years underneath this man.
So anyway, this show is called Flippin out. And I can see treating an intern like that if you needed to light a fire in his ass. Nevertheless, I closed my eyes and started running. I opened them 30 minutes later and looked at the TV. Flippin out was on, and the douchebag has a new assistant. I'm assuming the intern didn't make it. He's treating her like shit. Everytime she makes a mistake, like not crossing off a completed line of the checklist they have for that days houses they were going to look at, which, is pretty shitty, he starts telling her how he's trying to help her, that he doesn't care the way she does it works for her, he wants it done his way. To add to the drama, his assistant is his wife's sister. That makes it more difficult to fire.
I'm all about managing in certain styles that work for you, but it can be done in such that one is not an asshole. The guy your typical boss, insecure and doesn't take the blame for anything. It's his company, but the more you watch it the more your blood starts to boil. So please, do me a favor and don't watch this show. It's ridiculously stupid, but listen to Oney vs. Take this job and shove it. I think Oney paints a better picture of what should happen to this insecure little lowlife turd. But, what else do you expect from the airwaves that bring you shows like the real housewives of new jersey? Seriously? I mean, the show is full of women in between their 40-50's who act no different from a 2 year old. Why is this show sooooo popular. It's beyond me.
Comments:
Hahaha, I've actually seen this show. The old lady friend used to watch just about anything on Bravo. I thought it was pretty funny myself, being disconnected from the situation and seeing that there are people that actually conduct business that way. I'm sure it must be excruciating for the people that have to work with him. But from the outside looking in, it's pretty funny.
As for the other show mentioned, while it personally sucks the life out of me any time I catch a glimpse, it's not hard to see why it's so popular. People like to live vicariously through rich people living lives they could never have. It's the basis for numerous shows out there, such as Cribs, Jersey Shore, Laguna Beach, etc.
