Yeap, we're a few weeks in, and the competition has gotten stiffer each day. We got two large winners, and of them I have a favorite. But there are definitely some gems hiding away...So let's get familiar with a few...

Fisticuff- The first indie band to break the "Fans Favorite" list. Metal core
Amplexus - Wow... ah... yeah if I had vote today...Amplexus takes the grand prize.
Whiskey Jack- Drive By Truckers look out, Fort Worth has their own version, and it's arguably better.
Dreamfast - Arkansas is far too small for this poppy punk progression. Help them ditch the bad label.
Making April - Upstate NY, and it shows. Simple melodies but gorgeous atmosphere and rhythms that seal your soul
Mislead -Long Island isn't too far from exposure, high schoolers with only a rough passion for making music.
Yes, Virginia -Denton, TX's high schoolers with the most talent are having problems keeping members, but the core members have the right idea. Keep the sound from what I heard, and by far the best metal/core formation on the way up.
Proof Of Concept - trancy....just trust me, worth your time.
The Art Of All -MA Metal with Hardcore twang about them...Keep an eye on these guys.
Beta Plus Embroyo - Not quite Indie Of The Year, it just takes a bit more effort. Its the finest sounding songs I've heard all year, Major label releases not excluded.
Blake 9 -Besides that ballsy bastid Sunglassesatnight, All hip hop fans need to take a second and check this guy out now. Absolutely the strongest hip hop contender in the contest thusfar.

Don't worry about Box Within Tha System. They've been disqualified. There was one IP address in contempt on Fisticuff's voting but I've fixed that. You are still miles ahead but Amplexus is closing the gap.

Fisticuff and Amplexus show coming soon. Ya...it will be in Ohio. It looks like you might be promoting rap as your Indie Band of the Year?? Well, there is still time but he is tough to get ahead of......??

Amplexus is definately a favorite of ours!
couldn't find yes virginia on myspace,coulda been the day it was messed up
i've checked out most of the metal bands and working on the rest now.your right though-kinda makes a band feel insignifigant with so much talent out there.
