Leaving for England in Less Than 10

Don't miss me too much.  I'm gonna bring a stack of indie cds and listen to only them, so I'll have stuff to write about when I get back.  I'm kinda nervous, kinda apathetic; the kids I'm going with are mostly lame (and overly, overly, and i repeat, overly) eccentric, so I'll definitely be biting my tongue a lot.

I'm gone the 15th.  I'm gonna write up one or two more reviews, then I'm attacking a stack of cds I should've finished a long while ago.  Stupid Seton

Just got back from DC

I took a trip up to Washington D.C. with the gang not all too long ago and have been missing this site/my music dearly.  D.C. was a good time, though it's a surprisingly slummy area (which really epitomizes America [at least its economy] at the moment).  I went to the Holocaust museum, saw a bunch of historical monuments, ate a tremendously disgusting, and most likely diseased, polish sausage sandwich from a street vendor, and hung out at the beautiful Inner Harbor&nb

I haven't posted here in awhile, don't know why, since I'm very rarely short on things to say.  The other day, though, I found something worthwhile writing, and maybe, just maybe, reading about.

I was reading St. Augustine's Confessions--which is dreadfully tedious, so I'm not endorsing it in any way whatsoever--and numerous other religious texts for my Honors' religion class.  While reading, a line piqued my attention, "Catch us the foxes in the vineyard,"

One day left.  One exam left.  One essay left.  This semester has wiped me out completely; I never imagined college would be this hard.  I can't wait to jump fully back into this site, having lots of reviewing to do.  You'll be seeing a lot of me around lately, so beware!

It’s Saturday night and Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey is packed tight for Tokyo Police Club’s sold out show on what seems like their never ending tour.  Starting at 9:30, three bands were set to play: the opening indie-pop act hailing from New Jersey themselves, Vampire Weekend, the stri

So, last night I went to Maxwell's to see Cursive for the 4th time.  Looking back on it now, it was probably one of the best experiences of my life.  On line, Geoff Rickley walked by my friend and me, yes, the lead singer from Thursday (who is rumored to be joining up with Saddle Creek) and went inside to meet Cursive.  Shortly after, my friend and I sat down a table away from the band to eat and we shared cheese fries while gawking at the band.  After that specta
