So, last night I went to Maxwell's to see Cursive for the 4th time.  Looking back on it now, it was probably one of the best experiences of my life.  On line, Geoff Rickley walked by my friend and me, yes, the lead singer from Thursday (who is rumored to be joining up with Saddle Creek) and went inside to meet Cursive.  Shortly after, my friend and I sat down a table away from the band to eat and we shared cheese fries while gawking at the band.  After that spectacle, we were able to get spots that had us literally leaning against the stage.  For anyone that's ever been to Maxwell's in NJ before, they know how intimate this is.

The show was amazing; they played 15 songs with a very varied setlist, which included a few awesome surprises like "Staying Alive" and "The Road to Financial Stability."  Tim Kasher was very funny as usual, and I got up close and personal with the bassist and guitarist/vocalist Ted Stevens.  At the end of the show, I was able to obtain two setlists, one for my friend and one for myself, and, even more magically, had Tim Kasher autograph mine.  He's my idol, despite the alcoholism/adultery stuff, so to even have the opportunity to look at him, let alone speak to him, is amazing.

My excitement cannot be contained.  I need to run around or something.

It is so great when you get to see a band that you are so passionate about. Cursive may not be my choice but I even get excited when you talk about it.

Very coo.... its good times you're experiencing...relish them, they disolve a bit as you get older.  I imagine Cursive was terrific, they have got to be a surreal experience.
